Welcome Speeches
Chairman, School Advisory Committee
Dear Prospective P1 Parents,
As you walk through our halls today, you are witnessing more than classrooms and corridors – you are seeing the nurturing ground where your child will take their very first steps into primary school life and where extraordinary potential will flourish. This is where their love for learning begins, where friendships are formed and where they grow into confident, curious young learners.
At Compassvale Primary, we believe every student is a Thinker of Tomorrow, equipped with curiosity and critical thinking skills that will serve them in an ever-evolving world.
Beyond academic excellence, we are committed to developing Leaders of Character – gaining respect by leading with responsibility, integrity and care. Our students learn that true leadership is not about titles or positions, but about the positive impact they make on others.
Most importantly, we nurture Contributors of Community who understand that their individual success is intertwined with the wellbeing of others. From voluntary community service projects to global awareness initiatives, our students discover the joy and responsibility of making a difference.
Thank you for taking time to learn more about Compassvale Primary School. We look forward to partnering with you in building a strong foundation for your child – one who will think deeply, lead with purpose, and contribute meaningfully to our world.
Warm Regards,
Mr Daniel Tham

Dear Prospective P1 Parents,
Welcome to Compassvale Primary School (CVPS)! Thank you for taking the time to explore our school through this Open House. Choosing a school is a significant step, and we hope that hearing from our teachers and parents of Compassvalites will give you a clearer sense of what the journey here feels like.
At CVPS, we are committed to creating a happy and safe learning environment where children truly enjoy learning, and where they feel comfortable with their teachers and classmates. That sense of belongings matters deeply to us, as we believe that when children feel at ease, they are free to discover their joy of learning and grow into curious, confident and happy learners.
Children love it when their parents get to see where they learn and play. We warmly encourage you to join our Parent Support Group (PSG), volunteer when you can, and journey alongside your child through these formative years. Being part of the PSG brings reassurance, friendship, and shared encouragement, helping you feel more connected to your child’s school life from the very beginning.
As we like to say, “A child grows best when home and school walk hand in hand.” Our PSG is built on the values of a strong home-school partnerships, and we are here to help bridge parents and the school through open communication, meaningful collaboration and mutual support. We are truly grateful for the strong parent community we have at CVPS – your partnership and presence make all the difference.
We look forward to welcoming you at our Open House and helping you discover CVPS with confidence and heart.
Warm regards,
Celina Teo
